If the software is too old you may also find that your other Apple products aren’t compatible with your Mac. However, if your Mac is running an older version of the operating system – macOS Big Sur, macOS Catalina or older – you may find yourself out in the cold when it comes to essential updates to Apple’s software. If your Mac is running Sonoma, Ventura or Monterey you should be able to be confident that Apple will keep an eye on any security vulnerabilities and other problems with these operating systems. ![]()
